Sports Physician. He completed his studies at the Universidad del Valle (Cali, Colombia). He is an active member of the Imbanaco Medical Center and the Cali Dermatology Center and Surgical Specialties where he has practiced since 1992, as part of the arthroscopic surgery unit.

From 1995 to 2009, he was a member of the América de Cali sports club and the Colombian Football Federation as director of the medical department for seniors. Between 1986 and 1992, he directed the sports medicine department of the Manzana Postobón cycling team in the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España.

In November 2005 he received institutional recognition from the Universidad del Valle for his successful career in the medical field.

In 2011, with more than 27 years of experience, physician Héctor Fabio Cruz brought from Italy, with certification from the Ministry of Health of Rome and EXCLUSIVELY for Colombia, the NEC Method (Ketogenic Enteral Nutrition) in which he serves as Medical Director.
